Joshua Gonsalves, age 34, of Andover in Hartford County, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing in the third degree, disorderly conduct, and voyeurism, Connecticut State Police said.
The woman told police she was in the tub with her child around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, when she saw a man watching them through a window. She recognized him as her neighbor: Joshua Gonsalves, police said.
Startled, she slapped the window with an open palm to scare him away, but she broke the glass and sliced her hand open. The man ran away.
Paramedics treated the woman's wound.
She described the man to the police, even detailing the lint on his fur-lined jacket. The trooper she spoke to knew Gonsalves from similar previous incidents, authorities said.
When police found Gonsalves later that evening, they noticed his fur-lined jacket in the front seat of his car had lint on it where the woman said it would be.
A judge ordered Gonsalves held on a $10,000 bond, authorities said.
